Client Services

  • Risk-based surveys covering anything from a single tree to extensive tree populations. Surveys assess the physiological and structural condition of trees, identify defects and prescribe management recommendations to support tree owners in managing risk, meeting their legal responsibilities and maintaining the long-term value of their tree stock.

  • BS 5837 surveys to support planning and development projects. Services include tree constraints plans, impact assessments and method statements to help integrate development with existing trees.

  • Advice and support relating to trees protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs), Conservation Areas and other constraints, including planning conditions. Services include pre-application guidance, the preparation and submission of applications, liaison with Local Planning Authorities, and assistance with appeals, enforcement matters and disputed decisions.

  • Using sonic tomography and resistograph equipment, we can investigate and quantify levels of decay to assist with tree management decisions.

  • Identification and assessment of fungal pathogens, pest infestations and abiotic disorders. Accurate diagnosis is often critical to determining appropriate management options and predicting future tree condition.

  • Specialist advice on the assessment, management and retention of ancient and veteran trees. Services include veteran tree identification, habitat creation, management planning and advice on securing long-term continuity for future generations.

Industry Services

  • We deliver arboricultural theory training for individuals, businesses and organisations, either online or in person. Our popular Arboricultural Theory and Principles of Tree Work course provides a practical introduction to the technical knowledge that underpins modern arboriculture, while bespoke courses can be developed to suit specific business needs, qualification pathways or specialist subject areas. Whether supporting formal qualifications, CPD or workforce development, all training is tailored to the experience and objectives of those attending.

  • One-to-one training is available on a fully bespoke basis and can cover any aspect of arboricultural theory, legislation, tree inspection, compliance or industry good practice. Sessions are tailored to your individual requirements and can be delivered online or in person, whether you are preparing for a qualification, developing technical knowledge, addressing specific competency gaps, or seeking support with regulatory and compliance-related matters. Training is designed to provide practical understanding and confidence in the subject matter, with content adapted to your experience, objectives and preferred learning style.

  • Guidance and support for businesses seeking accreditation schemes such as Arb Approved Contractor. Services can include gap analysis, paperwork development, mentoring, internal auditing and preparation for assessment.

  • Independent reviews of business systems, documentation and operational practices to assess compliance with current legislation, industry guidance and recognised standards. Audits can help identify shortcomings, reduce risk and support continual improvement.

  • Development and review of policies, procedures and management systems tailored to the arboricultural industry. This can include risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, PUWER, emergency planning and other operational documentation.

  • Professional advice and guidance for businesses requiring assistance with technical decision-making, interpretation of standards and guidance, specification writing, or complex arboricultural situations.

  • Personalised tutoring for arboricultural qualifications up to Level 4, available in person or online and charged by the hour. Ideal for students needing support with assignments, technical concepts or exam preparation. We can't complete your work for you, but we can help you understand the underlying principles and develop the knowledge needed to succeed.
